Great Inagua is a naturalist paradise and home to the largest flock of flamingoes in the Western Hemisphere. The island has the largest diversity of birds and wild life in the Bahamas. Birds such as the Inagua Woodstar an indigenous hummingbird and specialty birds, such as the Bahama Parrot and many different types of shore birds. Wild animals such as donkeys, cows, goats and wild hogs roam the interior of the Island and an indigenous land turtle the Inagua Slider is a habitat of the island.
